June Plenary Meeting Announcement

The Industry-Academia Creative Group Work was held during the June Plenary Meeting.


The Industry-Academia Creative Group Work is held with industry mentors who support the program as well as registered students. Participants learn about principles required for business as well as leadership through networking and discussion with mentors.


The theme for the first group work was "Generate a business model based on Data Circulation." Each group, comprising of registered students and industry mentors, constructed a business model based on data circulation. In this Plenary Meeting, each group discussed its assigned theme. The themes assigned to each group were as follows:


Group A
Theme: Preventing the Spread of Influenza by Visualizing Predictions of Distributions of Infected Patients
Leader: Ken Matsushita (School of Information Science, M1)
Group B
Theme: Development of Applications Connecting Travelers and Regional Residents
Leader: Takumi Ban (School of Engineering, M2)
Group C
Theme: Discovery of Scenes Through Analysis of SNS Comments Connected to Images
Leader: Chenxi Tu (School of Information Science, M1)
Group D
Theme: Development of a Recommendation System Reflecting Individual Preferences
Leader: Yu Hatakeyama (School of Medicine, M1)


Each group will continue their activities and present their findings for discussion during the next Plenary Meeting scheduled for July 27.
