Date | Monday, July 24th, 2017, 17:00-20:00 |
---|---|
Place | Nagoya University Higashiyama Campus, IB West Tower 6F, Leaders Studio |
Here is a short summary of the topic discussed:
In this Creative Group Work, students can learn about leadership, project management, and business mind, by using the guidance of business mentors.
This time, the focus lies on retail shops like convenience stores and supermarkets. Each group designs a new service beneficial for these businesses, incorporating real-world data circulation. Each group presented their current results, including an introspection on their current project management. Other students, faculty members, and business mentors gave additional feedback. After evaluating the feedback, the groups discussed and presented their next steps to improve the service and project management.
Here is a summary of each project:
Title | FashionAr - Seeing a beautiful you |
---|---|
Leader | Ayaka Hirukawa |
Summary | The goal is to create a fashion recommendation service. Using the body type, hair color, and similar input data, suitable clothes and retail stores are recommended. Furthermore, a video game where you dress characters and avatars was created. This game applies various methods to recommend styles to the users. |
Title | Know Your Waiting Time |
---|---|
Leader | Xu Cao |
Summary | The goal is to create a service which estimates waiting time at restaurants. It became an issue that various restaurants did not want to provide their data. Therefore, a method to calculate the current capacity based on Wi-Fi signal strength is proposed. This way, the service can be provided for any restaurant. |
Title | Future Supermarket |
---|---|
Leader | Hong Xu |
Summary | The goal is to improve the shopping experience in supermarkets, by tailoring it to the individual customers. Based on previous purchases, a grocery list and an ideal route through the super market are created automatically and suggested to the customer. Furthermore, the results can be viewed by professionals to analyze why these products were recommended. |
Title | Visualize line online |
---|---|
Leader | Kenji Enomoto |
Summary | The goal is to create a visualization of queues for restaurants and cafes. The current waiting time can be compared to the average time, to see whether it is more or less crowded than usual. Furthermore, the restaurant owners get information about how popular their restaurants are and when a queue is reflected inside the app. |
Title | No Point Card |
---|---|
Leader | Etsutaro Kawabe |
Summary | The goal is to combine the point card systems of various convenience stores. When being able to manage various point cards within a single app, the customers do not need to bring a large number of cards with them. Furthermore, the app can be used as a marketing platform to advertise current sales and similar information. |
