Here is a short summary of every topic discussed:
In the Global Challenge II, students visit a top-tier international research institution. While participating in competitive research, they can practice the communication and interaction with international researchers. This time, Sheng Hu (first year inaugural student), who went to NEC Platform Laboratory, presented his experiences and impressions. He emphasized on the communication with enterprise researchers, and how he could achieve new research results from these interactions.
The Industry-Academia Creative Group Work is a workshop where students learn about business mind and project management while working in a group, under supervision of business mentors.
This time's theme is the creation of a new market model involving IT. A group will discuss and propose new market models for a business in a selected target market. In this Plenary Meeting, the results of one month of progress were presented.
Below, there is a summary of each group work. Every group presented a basic model A, and a competing model B for their target market.

Abstract | The group discussed market models for the bodyguard business. The model A proposed an idea where the users search for bodyguards using a service called GuardFind. The model B proposed an idea, where bodyguards can register themselves to be found by users, in a service called GuardShare. |

Abstract | The group discussed market models for rental/sharing services. The model A proposed the service MoniKari which links companies and product testers, while model B proposes an idea where various people can rent or provide products in the Cloud of Things (CoT). |
