In the July Plenary Meeting, two students reported on their experiences in their research internships.

Research Internships

In a research internship, students visit a business and engage in a research project. There, they can experience the structure and management of enterprise research facilities. This time, two students reported on their research internships. Tomoki Hayashi (1st inaugural class) tried his proposed method for anomaly detection in voices with an NEC dataset. He presented his results on an international conference and applied for a patent. Miho Toyama (2nd inaugural class) collected valuable experiences in enterprise, in thought of her future career. Utilizing the knowledge of the data analysis methods she used so far, the business highly regarded her new findings.
