Global challenge Ⅱ

Through the Global Challenge II, RWDC students visit research institutes longer than several months and conduct the research at the world's most advanced sites. The purpose of this activity is to experience the world's top-level research and deepen exchanges with various researchers. On the meeting of this time, three students reported on their experiences and achievements of Global Challenge II. All of the students mentioned that they were able to work on research under the great guidance of top-level researchers and had a very meaningful experience. They also mentioned that the members of the visited institutes had a passion and nice attitudes to their research activities. The specific information of the students and research institutes are as follows:

At this time, one student reported on his experience and achievements in Research Internship. In addition to the details of the research themes, he also represented his purpose of Research Internship, experiences, and knowledges he obtained. He worked on learning a polygon mesh reconstruction algorithm from point cloud data. Several reconstruction algorithms were carried out, and analysis of the three-dimensional shape for each suitable method were conducted. From the report, he mentioned that the difficulties of remote work and the differences in research planning between the research institutions and companies. Detailed information of the student and the company is as follows:
