At the Plenary Meeting in February, the report of research internship and a special event "Challenge to Kaggle" by RWDC students were held.

The following is a brief summary of the contents of the Plenary Meeting.

Research internship

In the research internship, students will visit the desired university or company and experience organization and management at the research site of the company. However, if it is difficult to go to a company for an internship due to the spread of the COVID-19, student who participated in the composition program requested by company are also considered as a research internship. This time, one student reported on his experience and achievements in the composition program with a company. In addition to the details of the research theme, he also touched on the purpose of participating in the composition program and the experience and knowledge actually gained.

Special event "Challenge to Kaggle"

This project is a special project organized by three RWDC students. The content is for students to form a team and challenge the competition at Kaggle. The purpose of this project is to improve students' leadership and machine learning abilities through this project. First, Etsutaro Kamino, a 4th generation student, introduced what "Kaggle" is and then explained the requirements for this project. Next, the students and mentors were divided into two groups and had a hot discussion about which competition their group would challenge. Finally, the leaders of both groups announced the themes that their group would challenge.
