The following is a brief summary of the contents of the Plenary Meeting.
This plenary meeting will be the first meeting in 2022 academic year, so Professor TAKEDA Kazuya, the coordinator of this leading program, gave a New Year's greetings. After that, new RWDC external program member, Dr. NAYA Futoshi, Director of NTT Communication Science Laboratories, introduced themselves.
In the RWDC leading program, Qualifying Examination 1, QE1, is performed at the timing of completing the master's course and advancing to the PhD course, or at the timing when the activity of the RWDC leading program has passed two years. In QE1, students will present their activities at the RWDC leading program and their research activities, and explain which of the seven types of skills, viewpoints, are acquired in each activity. After QE1, the program will decide whether it is worth continuing to join as a RWDC leading student after that. At this month's plenary meeting, MORISHITA Makoto gave his QE1 presentation.
From the plenary meeting of November 2021, we started a special lecture series in which former RWDC faculty members who have been educating and managing in the RWDC leading program, and graduates of the RWDC leading program, would give us a one-hour lecture about their recent activities and their messages to RWDC students. The purpose of this lecture series is to provide an opportunity to activate their activities by receiving a message from former RWDC faculties and RWDC graduates by reflecting the recent trend that the students who have recently joined RWDC leading program may not be able to sufficiently motivated to interact with each other. At this plenary meeting, as the fifth of this lecture series, Dr.ONOSE Ryosuke, who is a RWDC graduate, and is the CEO of Hashup Inc., gave a lecture.
