In pursuit of my childhood dream, my research focuses on motion detection of obstacles and tracking for autonomous systems using SLAM. As aging population becomes a more serious issue around the world, the development of assistant or autonomous systems to support daily lives or protect from personal injury is becoming more crucial.
Because an outdoor environment cannot be mapped as easily an indoor environment and the Canyon Effect affects performance, SLAM is used because the sensing devices must be highly developed. If SLAM is combined with an obstacle-detecting and -tracking algorithm and controlling mechanism, an obstacle detection and tracking system with an active collision-avoidance function can be developed.
In my free time, I enjoy cycling and audio mixing.
