Third year doctoral student

After graduating Shonan High School in Kanagawa, I entered School of Engineering, Nagoya University in 2010. In 2014, I earned my undergraduate degree.

My interest in computers began the first time I touched a keyboard in elementary school. Today computers have become my passion, and I plan to make people’s lives better using information technology.

My goal is to develop technology for autonomous driving that will make driving safer by preventing traffic accidents, traffic jams, etc.

In my free time, I love to scuba dive. I have made dives not only in Japan, but also in Guam, Saipan, Palau, Philippines, and Malaysia. In addition, I am a professional instructor and teach others how to dive.

自動運転のための位置推定技術の開発

My research focuses on high-resolution 3D mapping and localization for autonomous vehicles. Autonomous vehicles require an accurate estimation of vehicle position. Unfortunately, conventional localization systems, such as GPS, suffer from unpredictable disturbances due to the surrounding environment or poor satellite signal reception. To realize high-precision localization, I am developing localization systems based on scan matching between LIDAR scan data and 3D point cloud maps. I actively conduct experiments to test these systems in an imitation city.
