MONRROY CANO Abraham Israel

Abraham graduated from the National University of Mexico as a top student of Computer Engineering. After working in the private sector, he decided to give the next step and adventure himself overseas for a short period in Japan. He took a specialized training in Embedded systems at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology. During this time he fell in love with Japan, his culture, language and customs. After going back to Mexico, he joined to Mexico's Government Tax Agency, where he led several successful projects. However, after some time he decided to completely move to Japan and continue deepening his knowledge. He applied to Nagoya University, and then joined to the RWDC program, where he is now learning from top-notch professors and colleagues.

His research is focused on the development of real-time computer vision algorithms to achieve autonomous driving. He specializes in the employment of 2D and 3D data acquired by cameras and LiDAR sensors to extract perceptual information such as size, speed, direction, etc. To achieve this, he applies data processing, machine learning and deep learning techniques optimized to be executed in real-time.
